The Yuen Yeung Map (of Hong Kong Streets)
Date: 27.AUG.22 - 26.NOV.22
Time: 11:00am - 8:00pm
Place: Central Market Legacy Hall

Deep Food designed the taste-oriented experience of the Yuen Yeung Map (of Hong Kong Streets) to represent the diversity of local communities within the distance of one street.

Participants are invited to collect the Yuen Yeung Map or Taste Street Map via a capsule vending station; the drink and map serve as reflective tools of vibrant street landscapes and inclusive environments.

Participants are invited to finish a quest related to the project to collect a token which allows them to redeem the collectables at the capsule vending station of the exhibit.

Each Yuen Yeung Map transforms street landscapes and the community features on one street into different tastes, highlighting the communities’ diversity and inclusiveness. At the same time, the Taste Street Map interprets the streetscape from the lens of taste. The sensory experience draws curiosity and encourages participants to discover the diversity of Hong Kong’s cultural background; the project promotes community understanding and compassion.
