The Ghostwriter
Date: 10.SEPT.22 - 26.NOV.22
Time: 11:00am - 8:00pm
Place: Cafe Pier 7, Star Ferry Pier, Central

The Ghostwriter is a site-specific installation located in Central Star Ferry Terminal. The work celebrates the Past, the Present and the Future(s) of Hong Kong’s urban form.

The breath-taking panoramic view of the cityscape is brought into the installation space in the form of a mural. Architectural drawings of the present are collaged with imagery of the significant past to reveal the beauty of our city. As a retroactive device, visitors are encouraged to imagine, create and draw their interpretations of the future city to form the participatory palimpsest.

We hope the piece would provoke people’s imagination and engage discussions on the future Hong Kong’s building environment.
